Also known as Ground Penetrating/Probing Radar and Wall Penetrating/Probing Radar. These are devices used to scan a surface and show structures, objects, cracks or other features within the surveyed material. The device works by producing EM pulses in the 30-2000MHz band of the radio spectrum and detects the reflected signal from objects that are in the way of the transmitted waves. This is a nondestructive method so there is no harm for the operator nor for the surface being surveyed. The emitted pulses are of low energy and it is recognised that emissions from GPR are at 1% of those of a regular cellular device.

Yes, we offer customizations to all our GPRs as long as they are structurally and functionally feasible.

A measure of a material's ability to store electrical energy in an electric field. This has a direct impact on theoretical maximum penetration depth. The larger the dielectric of a material the more charge it can store thus impeding EM waves travelling through from penetrating quickly at depth. The opposite also applies - smaller dielectrics -> less impedance -> bigger wave propagation velocities in the material.

Any Android device running Android Jelly Bean 4.3 or higher can become a control unit for your GPR/WPR.

• Scudo is suitable for all types of terrain that allow close coupling with the ground.
• Scudo has excellent performance in cities, construction sites, on roads, inspecting bridges.
• Scudo is more focused and has higher resolution than Dipolo.

We are currently working on a GPS data integration module as well as a precise distance measuring device along x, y, z (elevation). Stay tuned for updates.

We currently offer a distance measuring wheel with our Scudo systems and a built-in measurement unit in our Concretto systems which offers distance tracking from origin along a single axis of movement. Prototypes for a general purpose GPR location device are being developed.

The SEG-Y file format is an open standard developed by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists for storing geophysical data. It has many applications in seismic research and it is also widely used with GPRs as many software packages support it.

We currently do not export to other formats. We are open for suggestions and will happily integrate your needed format into our systems..

There are plenty of packages that open SEG-Y files including GPR-Slice, SeiSee, Prism and Voxler.

Our Oerad data acquisition and visualization software.

We developed the ERAD file whose organisation is based on the SEG-Y standard to make better use of storage space and available information. It is compatible with all Oearad Android apps. Please refer to our file format definition for more details.
